In My Mailbox #32

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren where you can talk about the books you bought or received this week.

NetGalley:

Don't You Wish by Roxanne St. Claire
(Amazon / Goodreads)

When plain and unpopular Annie Nutter gets zapped by one of her dad's whacked-out inventions, she lands in a parallel universe where her life becomes picture-perfect. Now she's Ayla Monroe, daughter of the same mother but a different father—and she's the gorgeous, rich queen bee of her high school.
In this universe, Ayla lives in glitzy Miami instead of dreary Pittsburgh and has beaucoup bucks, courtesy of her billionaire—if usually absent—father. Her friends hit the clubs, party backstage at concerts, and take risks that are exhilirating . . . and illegal. Here she's got a date to lose her V-card with the hottest guy she's ever seen.
But on the insde, Ayla is still Annie.
So when she's offered the chance to leave the dream life and head home to Pittsburgh, will she take it?

Don't You Wish sounds pretty predictable, but it looks like a cute, fun read!

Bought:

Forever... by Judy Blume
(Amazon / Goodreads)

When you build up something in your mind — really imagine it, wish for it — sometimes, when it actually happens, it doesn't live up to your expectations. True love is nothing like that.
Especially not for Katherine and Michael, who can't get enough of each other. Their relationship is unique: sincere, intense, and fun all at the same time. Although they haven't been together all that long, they know it's serious. A whole world opens up as young passion and sexuality bloom.
But it's senior year of high school, and there are big changes ahead. Michael and Katherine are destined for another big "first": a decision. Is this the love of a lifetime, or the very beginning of a lifetime of love?

Why have I not read any Judy Blume yet? This is supposed to be one of the first real YA books, and I really need to read it.

Keeping You a Secret by Julie Anne Peters

As she begins a very tough last semester of high school, Holland finds herself puzzled about her future and intrigued by a transfer student who wants to start a lesbigay club at school.

Sorry for the short description - I couldn't find a longer one. (Well, I did find one, but it turned out to be more like a summary and included spoilers. Thank you, Amazon.) Anyways, I loved Julie Anne Peters's writing in By the Time You Read This, I'll Be Dead (review), so I'm looking forward to read this one!

What did you get in your mailbox this week?
